Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) has launched a new feature that lets users message each other in groups.
Twitter group messaging was announced in late 2014 as a new feature coming to the service. Now that service is available for use and the company hopes users wil take advantage of it.
Here are a few things to know about Twitter group messaging.
- Group messaging can include up to 20 people.
- The feature is started by one person choosing their followers.
- Users in the group messaging don’t have to follow each other.
- A notification will appear to alert users when they’ve been invited to a group chat.
- Emoji, links and Tweets can be used in group chats.
