Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is reportedly planning to offer a public beta for iOS 8.3 in March.

apple-ios-8.3-aaplThe exact date that Apple will release the iOS 8.3 beta to the average user is unknown, but it could be sometime in the middle of next month. Not everyone will be able to get into the beta. It’s believed that the company will only take the first 100,000 users that sign up, reports Digital Trends.

It’s also been reported that iOS 8.3 won’t be the only beta with public invites. The company is also rumored to be planning an iOS 9 beta for this summer. There’s also talk about new features that will be included in iOS 8.4, but a release for its beta hasn’t been mentioned, Digital Trends notes.

“With a public preview, you get much broader and thorough testing,” Ezra Gottheil, a Technology Business Research analyst, told Computer World. “Problems with early versions of iOS show that Apple needs this, that they can’t rely on internal and private testing before general availability.”
