Starbucks said that it will remove all CDs from its locations by the end of March. The decision to remove CDs from its stores comes after the market suffered a 15% drop in 2014. However, the coffee chain did say that it will continue to offer music in its store, but in a new format, reports Billboard.

Starbucks is still expected to offer single-song downloads at its stores. These downloads are sold in the form of promotional cards. Selling music has been a strong source of revenue for the company. It has even been able to land exclusive deals on some albums for the right to sell them, Billboard notes.

Music Times notes that one problem Starbucks could be having with CD sales is the change in what it offers. The coffee chain started out featuring less known artists and genres, but has recently switched it up to focus more on mainstream music.
