TV: Older versions of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV are losing the ability to play YouTube videos, reports AppleInisder. Owner’s of the company’s second-generation TVs has discovered that Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) YouTube app is missing from their devices. The app was removed overnight and all references to it were removed from the set-top box. This is the result of YouTube’s Data API being updated to include new features. The app also no longer works with devices running iOS 6 or older.

HomeKitGeneral Electric Company (NYSE:GE) is working on smart lightbulbs that will work with Apple Homekit, MacRumors notes. The new light bulbs are being designed to help users stay awake and sleep better. This is accomplished with blue LED lights that promote users to stay awake during the day. The blue LED lights are toned down at night to help people sleep better. The lights automatically adjust light throughout the night to help owners get better sleep. These light bulbs will be available for purchase sometime in 2015.

Watch: Apple Watch accessory makers have found an extra port to work with, reports 9to5Mac. Accessory makers have discovered a hidden, 6-pin port that could be used to help charge the device. One accessory maker is planning to release a charging Watch band that take advantage of the port. It claims that the hidden port can actually charge the device faster than the official charging method offered by Apple. The port is hidden in the metal cutout where the Watch’s strap plugs in to. There is a small piece that can be removed to access this port. Other accessory makers will also likely try to tap into the new port.
