apple-rumors-proactive-google-now-aaplBeta: A closer look at Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new OS X 10.10.4 beta reveals a major change, reports MacRumors. With the fourth version of the OS X 10.10.4 beta, the tech company has removed the “discoveryd” process from the operating system. This is the process that has been blamed for multiple Mac issues, including Wi-Fi connection trouble, quick-draining batteries and more. Despite bug fixes, it still continued to give owners of Macs troubles. Now discoveryd has been replaced with the “mDNSresponder” process, which is what it originally replaced.

Apps: Apple is going to release a new development kit that will allow for the creation of native Apple Watch apps, AppleInsider notes. As it stands right now, developers can’t make native Watch apps, but can add Watch extensions through their iOS apps. These new tools will be officially announced and shown off to developers at the WWDC on June 8. Native apps will reportedly be allowed by Fall and wouldn’t require an iPhone to operate.

Proactive: Apple may be preparing a competitor for Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Now service, reports 9to5Mac. A rumor claims that the tech company is working on a new Proactive service that would combine data from Siri and several other apps to offer iOS users up-to-date notifications for events. This will include incorporating data from third-party apps, but the company plans to keep users’ information private. Rumors claim that the Proactive service will be a main feature of iOS 9 and include augmented reality maps.
