TSLA News: Tesla Model X SUV Expected to Cost $132,000

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla (TSLA), has announced the price of the upcoming Model X.

tesla-model-x-cost-tslaMusk announced in a series of Tweets that TSLA will be charging $132,000 for the Signature series version of the vehicle, which is the “fully loaded” version. Musk also said that the normal version of the Model X will cost $5,000 more than the Model S when equipped with the same features due to its “greater size & body complexity,” reports CNBC.

The first Tesla Model Xs off the production line will start being sold on Sept. 29. The TSLA CEO said that the cars will be handed out to customers at its factory located in Fremont, Calif. The Signature series Model X will be released first and the normal version will come later, CNBC notes.

The price and release date of the Model X isn’t the only thing that TSLA has announced. The electric car company also revealed details concerning the Model 3. It said that preorders for the car will start in March of 2016.
