apple-rumors-imac-4k-launch-aaplA9: Some of Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones may have better battery life than others, reports Engadget. The A9 chips that were made for the new iPhones weren’t supplied from a single company, but rather by two. Samsung (SSNLF) made some of the chips and TSMC (TSM) made the others. The Samsung chip is slightly smaller than the TSMC chip, but it’s the battery life that really matters. People that have identified which chips are in their iPhone 6s and 6s Plus devices have tested the battery life and found that the TSMC chips provide users with close to two hours more charge over the Samsung chips. Users can test which chip is in their device with the Lirum Device Info Lite app on the App Store.

Beats: Beats has released its first new Bluetooth speaker after being acquired by Apple, AppleInsider notes. The new speaker released by Beats is called the “Beats Pill+.” The new Pill+ is slightly larger than the normal Pill, but smaller than the Pill XL. It also has a flattened top and bottom to make it more stable. The volume, power and other buttons have been moved from the back of previous devices and now sit on the top of the Pill+. The mobile speaker is rechargeable via a Lightning port on the back. There is also 3.5mm jack and a USB plug on the device.

iMac: Rumors has it that Apple is going to announce the updated 21.5-inch iMacs with 4K displays next week, reports 9to5Mac. According to this rumor, the company is planning to release the new iMacs in a limited quantity on Oct. 13, which is next Tuesday. After this, a larger stock of the devices will be available for purchase in November. The new iMacs are rumored to feature a 4K 4096 x 2304 display and a better graphics card. It’s also believed that El Capitan will be installed on them.
