General Nutrition (GNC) has been sued by Oregon’s attorney general.

The lawsuit against GNC claims that the retailer sold supplements that were laced with illegal drugs to customers. The retailer allegedly knew that the supplements were laced with illegal drugs, but chose to continue selling them. The drugs found in the supplements aren’t considered safe or natural, reports NBCNews.

The drugs that were allegedly sold by GNC include picamilon and BMPEA. These drugs are illegal in the United States and weren’t labelled as being in some supplements. The retailer has 25 stores in Oregon and is believed to have sold thousands of products that contained these drugs in the last two years, NBCNews notes.

“The claims made by the Oregon Attorney General are without merit and GNC intends to vigorously defend against these allegations,” GNC told USA Today. “In response to FDA statements regarding the regulatory status of BMPEA and picamilon, GNC promptly took action to remove from sale all products containing those ingredients.”
