Alphabet’s (GOOG,GOOGL) is offering 1TB of free storage for Google Maps reviews.
According to a Google Maps blog, Google will be offering a variety of different prizes to customers that add reviews to its Local Guides feature. This feature lets users place reviews, photos and other information about locations on Maps for points.
Here is a breakdown of what those points earned in Google Maps can be used for.
- Level 1 — Users with zero to four points have a chance to enter exclusive contests.
- Level 2 — Earning between five and 49 points nets users early access to new Google products and features.
- Level 3 — Collecting between 50 and 199 points will let users show up in Maps with a custom badge.
- Level 4 — 200s point to 499 points is the offer that includes 1TB of free storage on Google Drive.
- Level 5 — This requires a minimum of 500 points and includes an invite to the inaugural summit in 2016 to meet other top Local Guides and learn about upcoming products from the tech company.
