Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is shutting down its Sunrise app for good at the end of the summer.

The company announced that the calendar app will be removed from the App Store within the next few days, and its functionalities will be shut down entirely on August 31.
Sunrise was acquired by Microsoft last year. Now, it will be dismantled and some of its ideas will be integrated into other Windows calendar apps.
A more full-fledged mail experience will exist later in the year when Outlook receives some of Sunrise’s features.
MSFT stock is down 0.1% Wednesday.
