Tinder Stacks: 5 Things to Know About the New App

Tinder Stacks is the name of a new application in the App Store.

With this app, you don’t get to judge people like you do with regular Tinder. Here are five things to know about it:

  • The app follows the same yay-or-nay system as its predecessor on iMessage, but the difference is that here you get to swipe left or right on groups of photos related to life events.
  • You can change the filter for certain photos, ask questions about whether or not you’re wearing the right attire or take a poll on what food to eat for the evening with Tinder Stacks. By Stacking an item, you send it out to the public for approval to see whether or not you’ve got the right idea.
  • “We know that life is full of difficult decisions,” the Tinder team wrote in a blog post. With Stacks, “group decision-making drama is a thing of the past,” it said.
  • You need to upgrade your device on the iMessage app store to install the app. You can then launch Tinder Stacks from iMessage.
  • The process begins with “Start a Stack,” which lets you choose photos that you can then name and review. Then you can check out how many people chose “hot” and how many people opted for “not.”

What do you think of the new way to rate something other than a potential date?
