Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) is hoping to speed up checkouts this year with Holiday Helpers.

The company is planning to have current associates work as Holiday Helpers starting on Nov. 4. These employees will be wearing bright yellow vest and jingling hats to make them easily identifiable. Their goal is to help customers get through lines quicker.

Holiday Helpers will get customers through lines quicker in a few ways. First off, they will hold up signs pointing customers toward lanes without lines. If lines are backed up, the employees can also open a new lane to help with the overflow. They will also run and get items for customers that they may have forgotten during their shopping trip.

Walmart says that the goal of Holiday Helpers is to give its customers “a few extra moments” for their schedules during the busy holiday season. These employees will mainly be working during the retail chain’s peak hours of operation.

Walmart will also be showing commercials featuring its Holiday Helpers starting on Nov. 4. The company hopes that these commercials will prepare customers for the change and help them better understand how the employees can help them.

Walmart wanting to give customers a few extra moments during the busy holiday schedule is a bit ironic. The retailer is one of the major companies that has helped push Black Friday into Thanksgiving with earlier hours for deals. It has yet to announce its hours for Black Friday 2016, but they will likely remain the same as they were last year when sales started at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
