T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS) is launching a new service called T-Mobile Digits that turns all your devices into phones.

T-Mobile DigitsThe way that the service works is that you can link your phone, tablet, computer and any other devices to your smartphone. This essentially ensures that everything you want to attach to your phone will ring or vibrate when you get a call.

T-Mobile Digits works well if you are working and need to make sure you take certain calls due to work, but don’t want to be constantly checking your phone. Additionally, the service allows you to connect your phone with other devices from different carriers.

The company is the No. 4 carrier in the country, but this new technology could help it push forward as it took two years to develop and launch it. The beta version of T-Mobile Digits is being rolled out today.

The product was developed with the idea that each phone number is connected with a specific person, not a device. However, Digits can also work in group settings, such as a work conference call as multiple parties can join in from numerous devices.

T-Mobile’s recent moves include a data plan launched a few months ago that eliminates data limits, and offers unlimited talk, text and data. The plan costs $70 a month for one line, or $120 a month for two.

TMUS shares gained 0.3% Thursday.
