It was a booming week for earnings announcements, though companies weren’t as quick to announce higher dividend payouts. Still, we got good news in the form of a new dividend program from the tech sector, as well as a return to dividend payments for a resurgent insurance giant.
In all, 11 companies made our Companies Increasing Dividends list this week. (Dividend yields as of Aug. 2):
Global insurance firm American International Group (AIG) announced it would resume dividend payments, starting with a 10-cent distribution payable Sept. 26 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 12.
AIG Dividend Yield: 0.8%
Diversified manufacturing company Carlisle Companies (CSL) raised its quarterly dividend 10% to 22 cents per share, payable Sept. 1 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 15. This is CSL’s 37th consecutive year of increased payouts.
CSL Dividend Yield: 1.28%
Specialty products and component manufacturer and Dependable Dividend Stock Dover (DOV) raised its dividend 7% to 37.5 cents per share, payable Sept. 16 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 30. This is the 58th consecutive annual increase in DOV’s dividend.
DOV Dividend Yield: 1.73%
Flavor and fragrance manufacturer International Flavors (IFF) raised its quarterly dividend 15% to 39 cents per share, payable Oct. 10 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 26.
IFF Dividend Yield: 1.91%
Ready-to-eat cereal and convenience food giant Kellogg (K) raised its dividend 5% to 46 cents per share, payable Sept. 26 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 3.
K Dividend Yield: 2.83%
Electric circuit protection manufacturer Littlefuse (LFUS) raised its quarterly dividend 10% to 22 cents per share, payable Sept. 5 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 21.
LFUS Dividend Yield: 1.1%
New Jersey-based bank and financial services company Marlin Services (MRLN) raised its quarterly dividend 10% to 11 cents per share, payable Aug. 21 to shareholders of record as of July 29.
MRLN Dividend Yield: 1.89%
Global information and measurement company Nielsen (NLSN) raised its quarterly dividend 25% to 20 cents per share, payable Sept. 11 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 28.
NLSN Dividend Yield: 2.38%
Pharmaceutical and education software developer Simulations Plus (SLP) raised its quarterly dividend 50% to 3 cents per share, payable Aug. 15 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 12.
SLP Dividend Yield: 2.51%
Data storage manufacturer SanDisk (SNDK) initiated its first dividend at 22.5 cents per share, payable Aug. 30 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 1.
SNDK Dividend Yield: 1.55%
Heating, air conditioning and ventilation services company Comfort Systems USA (FIX) raised its quarterly dividend 10% to 5.5 cents per share, payable Aug. 23 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 12.
FIX Dividend Yield: 1.36%
