According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, AT&T (T) will exclusively carry the Amazon smartphone (AMZN).
Citing multiple confidential sources, the newspaper reported that Wednesday’s announcement about the launch of the Amazon smartphone will come with news that AT&T will be its carrier.
The phone reportedly comes with an interface that allows for 3D viewing capability –without glasses.

The arrangement extends Amazon’s relationship with AT&T, which also provides wireless service to Kindle tablets and e-readers. The move could help AT&T attract new subscribers at a time of intense competition among wireless carriers.
This isn’t the first time that T took the reigns as the prime handler of a new smartphone launch.
When Apple’s iPhone launched in 2007, AT&T was the exclusive carrier.
