Honda (HMC) is close to launching its first HondaJet, the Honda HA-420.

Honda is currently waiting for Federal Aviation Administration type certification before its jet can start being used outside of tests. It has completed more than 3,000 hours of flight time and has traveled to 31 states in the U.S. as part of its tests.

Here are a few things to know about HondaJet’s Honda HA-420.

• The new jet has its engines placed over the wings instead of under them.
• Its fuselage is made of a material lighter than aluminum that is also stronger.
• The cockpit of the jet has more room for its pilots and also comes equipped with touchscreens.
• It has a maximum cruise speed of 420 KTAS at 30,000 feet.
• The jet is rated highest in its class for fuel efficiency.
