1D is reportedly breaking up for good.
One Direction started an extended hiatus late last year and now it appears the boy band won’t be coming back together. An unnamed source that is close to the 1D band members said that the members will remain friends, but that the band has “ran its course,” reports US Weekly.
1D elected not to renew its recording contract in October and the source claims members of the former band are now looking to move on with their own projects. However, they will release one last video for a song from their Made in the A.M. album before calling it quits, US Weekly notes.

While the report of One Direction breaking up seems to have fans in a tizzy, it may not actually be happening. A spokesperson for 1D told Evening Standard that reports of the band breaking up aren’t true.
