apple-rumors-elon-musk-car-project-aaplTV: Apple (AAPL) may be interested in purchasing Time Warner (TWX), reports MacRumors. Time Warner CEO Jeffrey Bewkes recently told investors that he would entertain a sale of the company and AAPL was named as one of the possible candidates for acquiring it. This acquisition would possibly allow the tech company to restart its plans for a TV streaming service, which likely had to be put on hold after negotiations with content providers proved to be unfruitful.

Display: Apple is reportedly planning to introduce AMOLED displays in its iPhone line, BGR notes. The company is believed to be interested in making AU Optronics (AUO) into a supplier of AMOLED displays. The supplier already makes AMOLED screens for other smartphone companies and has worked with AAPL in the past to provide it with LCD screens for its devices. Apple would reportedly invest in the company to help it switch to making AMOLED screens for the iPhone line.

Car: Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk believes Apple is working on its own car, reports Fortune. Musk said in a recent interview that it’s “obvious” the tech company is working to create its own car. He said it’s hard to hide such a large project after hiring more than 1,000 engineers to work on it. The Tesla CEO said that the work on the electric car is an “open secret.” Apple hasn’t officially announced its car plans, which are currently called Project Titan, but it has been stealing employees from other automakers. Tesla is included in the list of automakers that has had employees lured away from it.
