BMW, Self-Driving Car, GOOG, GOOGLThe BMW Vision Next 100 is a high-end vehicle that is designed to show the company’s plans for the future. The car takes inspiration from sedans and coupes with its design and will be introduced at the Centenary Event in Munich Olympic Hall on March 7, 2016.

The BMW Vision Next 100 will include the Alive Geometry system. This system includes two modes: boost and ease. Boost enhances the driver’s experience with aid from the system and ease allows the car to take over. In this mode, the steering wheel retracts into the console and the driver seat turns toward the passenger seat.

BMW will be taking its new car on a tour around the world called “Iconic Impulses.” The tour will include Beijing, China, London, England and a final showing in Los Angeles, California.

Several other companies are interested in self-driving cars. Alphabet Inc’s (GOOG,GOOGL) Google and Ford Motor Company (F) are reportedly talking about working together on a self-driving car. However, Volkswagen AG (ADR)’s (VLKAY) Porsche has said it has no plans to release a self-driving car.
