India: Apple’s (AAPL) plans to open retail stores in India have hit a snag, reports AppleInsider. The company has been interested in opening its own Stores in India, but a law requiring single-brand stores to source a minimum of 30% of their supplies from India is getting in the way. AAPL doesn’t get any of its resources from India and the law is being upheld by Arun Jaitley, the country’s finance minister, and India’s Foreign Investment Promotion Board. This means the company will likely have to stick with third-party retailers for its devices being sold in the country.

Siri: Apple is rumored to be working on a home assistant device, MacRumors notes. The rumor claims that this device would use Siri and include a microphone and speaker. If this rumor turns out to be true, it would mean that Siri could soon be going head-to-head against Amazon.com, Inc.’s (AMZN) Echo and Alphabet Inc’s (GOOG,GOOGL) Google Home. The company is also believed to be preparing to open Siri up to developers to help improve the virtual assistant.

Charging: A new rumor claims that Apple is looking into making its own car charging stations, reports Reuters. According to this rumor, the tech company has been talking with makers of electric charging stations and hiring engineers that are knowledge in the area. One unnamed source specifically stated that this wasn’t part of its service to employs that includes charging their electric vehicles for them, but that it related to the company’s own car efforts.
