Tuesday Apple Rumors: Images Possibly Show Working iPhone 7

Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

Apple Rumors, Working iPhone 7, AAPLCharging: A new rumor claims that Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 7 will charge faster than previous generations of the smartphone, reports MacRumors. According to this rumor, the new iPhone will feature five volt two amp charging. This would be an increase over the 5 watt one amp charger that the iPhone 6s currently comes with. It would also be above the 12 watt 2.1 amp offered by the iPad adapter. However, the rumor doesn’t have much support behind it and comes from a source that is very hit or miss.

Release: A leaked AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) document may have revealed the release date for Apple’s iPhone 7, AppleInsider notes. The document mentions two different times that stores will go through merchandising resets in September. The first merchandising reset will occur on Sept. 9 and the second will take place on Sept. 23. It’s possible that the Sept. 9 merchandising reset will be when preorders for the iPhone 7 start. If this is true, then the Sept. 23 merchandising reset could be the actual release date of the new smartphone.

iPhone: What appears to be a working iPhone 7 has shown up online, reports BGR. The device was shown off in several photos and it is turned on in some of them. The iPhone 7 in the photos appears to be running the beta version of iOS 10. It also includes many of the featured rumored to be coming to the device, such as redesigned antenna bands, a missing headphone jack and dual speaker grills. The possible iPhone 7 in the images is also in the Space Black color that is rumored to be coming with the release of Apple’s new smartphone.
