Kohl’s Corporation Hiring 69,000 Workers for 2016 Holiday Season (KSS)

Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is looking to hire 69,000 employees for the 2016 holiday season.

Kohl's, KSS, Kohl's HiringKohl’s wants to hire seasonal employees to help it with the increase in holiday traffic. It needs employees to work in its more than 1,100 stores in 49 states, distribution centers, e-commerce fulfillment centers and for its credit operations.

Seasonal store associates will help stock shelves, assist customers, prepare items for online orders and get items ready for in-store pickup. Distribution center workers will help ship products to Kohl’s stores and customers making online orders. E-commerce employees will also help with online orders and those working in credit operations will handle customer service.

The retail chain started hiring seasonal employees in August and it expects to have most jobs filled by mid-November. Kohl’s said that each store will be hiring employees based on when business picks up in those areas.

Those interested in picking up some seasonal work at Kohl’s can follow this link to the retail chain’s online application website. The company doesn’t say if it will be keeping some seasonal employees after the holiday season ends.

Kohl’s isn’t the only retail chain that’s hiring seasonal help for the 2016 holiday season. Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) has also announced that it will be holding hiring events Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. The company is looking to take on some 70,000 seasonal employees.

United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) is also searching for some extra seasonal help this year. It needs 95,000 employees to fill handler, driver and driver-helper positions for the upcoming holiday season.

KSS stock was up 1% as of Monday morning.
