The Great American Beer Festival is here once again.
The event is the largest brew event in the U.S. of the year. Here are 10 things to know about the Festival:
- Make sure you make a plan so you can try all the beverages you want to before it ends.
- There are more than 780 breweries available with 3,800 different beers and 60,000 people.
- There’s an app called My GABF that lists all the breweries, their locations and what beers they will have.
- The Great American Beer Festival is listed by eight regions: Southeast, Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, New England, Pacific, Mountain, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
- There’s food available that will go well with your brews. It is recommended that you don’t try all these beers on an empty stomach.
- Pretzel necklaces are one of the popular items you can pass around that serve as both food and palette cleanser.
- There are Uber and Lyft vehicles nearby that can take you to your destination, so don’t plan on drinking and driving.
- The event is located in the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
- Tickets are still available for the three-day event, which runs from Thursday through Saturday.
- BeerX is a 2,500-square-foot arena that includes plenty of educational programs related to beer as well as entertainment and craft opportunities at the beer hall.
The event has been around for 35 years with this one.
