The trailer for Pirates the Caribbean 5 is here.
The Disney (NYSE:DIS) film is officially called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and the teaser begins with a stunning piece of cinematography that reveals the ominous water in which the movie takes place.
As the camera zooms into the ships in the ocean, a battle is unveiled with Capitan Salazar’s undead army versus living soldiers. Salazar is played by Javier Bardem, who has cemented himself as one of the greatest villain actors of our era thanks to his roles in No Country for Old Men
and the James Bond film Skyfall.
Brenton Thwaites’ Henry finds himself stuck in a ship with the zombie-like Salazar and his undead warriors. Bardem’s character asks Henry if he knows who Captain Jack Sparrow is, to which he replies “only by name.”
Salazar then requests that Henry deliver a message to Sparrow, played once again by Johnny Depp. “Death will come straight for him,” the undead man says as black vile leaves his rotten teeth.
The music is as ghastly as the scene itself, promising to be one of the greatest Pirates of the Caribbean films ever, as well as the first one in five years.
Geoffry Rush will play Barbosa, Orlando Bloom is Will Turner once again, while Kevin McNally is Gibbs and Stephen Graham is Scrum.
