Customers shopping online can take advantage of PriceJump to check Amazon’s prices. This can be done by copying the URL to a search bar on the website or installing PriceJumps’ Google (GOOG) Chrome extension. The service then checks the price of the product and compares it to other offerings around the internet, CNN Money notes.

PriceJump can find users a better deal than what Amazon is offering almost half the time. This increases to 70% of the time for items over $100. The service isn’t always accurate and can sometime send users to a site offering the same item for the same price, reports CNNMoney.

PriceJump has three different ratings when comparing items online. The first warns customers that there is a better deal than what Amazon is offering, the second claims that the prices are very similar, but it might be able to save you some money and the third is that the online retailer has the best deal for the item.
