Facebook has banned several Native Americans for using their names on their profiles. The names get flagged as not being real and the social media company bans them because of this. Some users have even had trouble keeping their real names after providing the proper ID to the platform, reports Engadget.

Dana Lone Hill is one such Native American that has had trouble keeping her real name on Facebook. She was finally  able to after much trouble and complained that Left Shark from Katy Perry’s Superbowl show had a page, but she had to fight for hers. The problem has also affected those who use stage names over their real names, Engadget notes.

Facebook said that it’s been working to better its real name policy over the last few months. It also said that it has a lot more work to do before improvements made to the policy will allow all users to use their real names on the service, reports The Guardian.
