Launcher is an app that allows users to open several apps on their iPhones without having to unlock them first. The app accomplishes this with the help of Apple’s recently added widgets, However, it was banned for breaking the company’s policies for app and widgets, reports Business Insider.

Following its ban, developer Greg Gardner tried to have Launcher returned to the App Store. He created a simpler version of it, but they were also denied. Finally, he resubmitted after the company loosened its policies on apps and widgets and it was approved, Business Insider notes.

Launcher includes four categories that can be used to create buttons on the Notification Center. These categories are Contact, Web, App, and Custom. Each of the categories work as named and the Custom one allows for custom buttons to be created, reports MacRumors.
