Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) released its Azure App Service on Tuesday.

Here are a few things to know about Microsoft’s Azure App Service, as collected from TechCrunch.

  • The service is built on other existing tools, such as Azure Websites, Mobile Services and Biztalk Services.
  • Azure Websites and Azure Mobile Service users will both be moved to this new service.
  • It will cost the same as Azure Websites.
  • One new feature is the ability to easily create what the company calls “logic apps” with built-in APIs options.
  • Microsoft will be releasing a free version of the Azure App Service to high school and university students.
