Shoefitr has a 3D technology that helps customers see how a shoe would fit them without it actually being there. It accomplishes this by scanning the inside and outside of shoes to see how they fit. This could be added to Amazon’s main website, or could also be used as part of Zappos, a subsidiary that specializes in shoe and clothing sales, reports TechCrunch.

According to TechCrunch, Amazon has plans to move Shoefitr into its headquarters located in Seattle, Wash. Shoefitr is currently based in Pittsburgh. It was started in 2010 by a group of former college athletes.

Shoefitr’s business extends beyond the United States as it has dealings with customers in other countries.
