Apple reportedly bought LinX, which is based in Israel, for $20 million. LinX is a tech company that has a focus on making miniature cameras. These cameras are designed for mobile devices, meaning they could be used in the iPhone and iPad, reports Business Insider.

According to LinX’s website, the company makes the smallest camera available for purchase and they offer DSLR quality. It’s believed that this company’s technology will be used to enhance the camera found in Apple’s iPhone, Business Insider notes.

If LinX’s technology is incorporated into Apple’s iPhone, it could keep the device from having a camera that sticks out from the rear shell. The current generation of iPhones, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, both have cameras that stick out from the device, reports Forbes.
