15 Year Old Arrested in TalkTalk Data Breach

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in Northern Ireland in connection with the TalkTalk data breach.

The breach was announced by the phone and broadband provider last week, compromising the bank details and personal information of its four million customers.

The teenager was arrested by County Antrim police Monday afternoon by officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). He is under suspicion of offences under the Computer Misuse Act.

He has been taken into custody where he will be interviewed.

“We know this has been a worrying time for customers and we are grateful for the swift response and hard work of the police,” wrote TalkTalk in a statement. “We will continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The kid has been taken into custody where he will be interviewed.
