Uber is looking to take on FedEx (FDX) and UPS (UPS) with its UberRUSH expansion.

uberrush-delivery-uber-fdx-upsUberRUSH started out as a test in New York City, but is now being expanded to include Chicago and San Francisco. The service allows users to hire an Uber driver to deliver a package for them. However, Uber is hoping to get more use from businesses that will hire it for deliveries to customers, reports Yahoo Tech.

UberRUSH is like FedEx and UPS in the sense that some customers may not even know they’re using it. After placing an order, they’ll find a link to the service that lets them track their package. Businesses that use the service can either choose to pay the delivery fee, or they can add it to the customer’s bill, Yahoo Tech notes.

UberRUSH also announced on Wednesday that it’s teaming up with ChowNow. ChowNow is a service that handles delivery and payment options for a variety of restaurants. This allows customers to place orders, see the delivery fee and track orders from restaurants, reports Eater.
