Microsoft (MSFT) has released a patch that fixes a security flaw in all version of Windows.

windows-security-flaw-msftThe security flaw in Windows could allow hackers to take control of a person’s computer remotely with the help of Internet Explorer. This flaw had to do with how Internet Explorer deal with objects in memory. It required users to visit websites that were potentially dangerous before they could be taken advantage of, reports ZDNet.

The security flaw that was able to be used due to Internet Explorer has been taken care of with patch MS15-106. The flaw was present in versions of Windows starting with Vista and worked all the way up to Windows 10. The security flaw isn’t present in the company’s new Edge internet browser, ZDNet notes.

Computers that are still running Windows XP are also likely vulnerable to the security flaw through Internet Explorer. However, Microsoft no longer supports the XP operating system and there won’t be a patch released for it to fix the issue, reports Softpedia News.
