Google Buys Cloud Startup Bebop Technologies

Alphabet’s (GOOG,GOOGL) Google has announced that it’s buying cloud startup Bebop Technologies.

google-bebop-technologies-goog-googl-vmwGoogle announced in a blog post that Bebop, and its founder Diane Greene, will join it once the acquisition is finished. Greene has been announced as the leader of a team that will combine the company’s various Cloud businesses.

Google also announced that Green, who also helped found VMware (VMW), will continue to remain on its Board of Directors following the acquisition and forming of a new Cloud team. Bebop is a platform that allows for the creation of enterprise applications and the company hopes it will lead to more businesses using its Cloud products.

“This new business will bring together product, engineering, marketing and sales and allow us to operate in a much more integrated, coordinated fashion,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in the blog post.
