The Zika virus outbreak is centered in Brazil and it’s led some to worry that the games would be delayed or canceled. However, Sports Minister George Hilton said that the topic isn’t being discussed and that Brazil’s government continues to remain committed to the Summer Olympics, reports the Associated Press.

The 2016 Summer Olympics will be the first time that South America has hosted the games. Officials are worried that news of the Zika virus will hurt ticket sales, but does note that mosquitoes, which carry the virus, won’t be out as strong due to the cooler weather in August, the Associated Press notes.

Zika virus symptoms include “fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes.” A vaccine for the virus doesn’t exist, but one may be ready by the end of the year. The outbreak of the virus has also seen the first confirmed case of it being transmitted through sexual contact.
