The Snapchat founders are launching ‘Chat 2.0.’
The new chatting service fuses together a number of the features that all messaging apps seem to have these days in a convenient and effective manner.
Here are seven things to know about Chat 2.0:
- Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel described the service, revealing that private conversations can morph between mediums depending on whether users want to show or tell.
- Snapchat Stories advance automatically. When you finish watching a Story, the next one plays automatically.
- You can now choose from a selection of over 200 stickers to post on Chat 2.0.
- The service also allows you to make bite-size GIFs that can be up to 10 seconds long.
- You can also send short audio snippets to your friends.
- Chat 2.0 can turn into a phone as it now allows video and audio calls.
- Multiple photos can be sent in one chat, and you can mark them up with Snapchat text.
