UberEATS will now include surge pricing for delivering food.

UberEATSThe transportation company is making life more expensive for those who want a meal during peak hours as Uber is adding surge prices to its food, much like the same concept exists when you get a ride at a time of increased demand.

The move will apply to a number of cities around the U.S., including Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, DC, Miami and Atlanta. The company announced the move Thursday, indicating that the exact price of an item during surge hours will be included above the menu.

Uber said the extra money from surge pricing orders will go towards financial incentives for its delivery partners. It will also help to cover other operational costs.

The company recently announced that it will require drivers to take selfies before each shift as a way of adding extra security to its capabilities. The feature is called Real-Time ID Check, and it compares the selfies with their profile pictures to ensure the driver employed by the company is in fact driving.

If a driver’s image is not a match with their profile picture, Uber will place a temporary block on the account. In a test, 99% of drivers were matched–the move could prove to be a hassle for those with blurry pictures.

Uber and Mastercard Inc (NYSE:MA) recently teamed up to offer its own brand of debit card in Mexico.
