Wednesday’s Stocks to Watch: Jabil Circuit, Adobe

Here are a few stocks to keep on your radar:

  • Jabil Circuit (NYSE:JBL) was up nearly 8% to $20.44 in early Wednesday trading after the company beat fiscal second-quarter earnings and issued a third-quarter forecast that was above current Street estimates. RBC slapped an outperform rating on the stock, with a $30 price target.
  • Shares of Adobe Systems (NASDAQ:ADBE) were off 4.3% after the company’s fiscal first-quarter earnings report late Tuesday, which included an estimate for second-quarter revenue and profit that was below analysts’ estimates. On Wednesday, several investment banks expressed concerned about the company’s business exposure in Japan.
  • Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS) rose 2.4%  to $22.75 after the company blew away fiscal first-quarter earnings estimates and said it would raise its quarterly dividend to 6 cents a share. FBR Capital raised its target on the stock to $25 from $22.
  • Shares of Xoma (NASDAQ:XOMA) plunged more than 31% after the company said late Tuesday that a Phase 2B trial for its Type 2 diabetes drug didn’t reach its primary endpoint.
  • After a jump of more than 20% on Tuesday amid a runup in rare earth metal stocks, Rare Element Resources (AMEX:REE) shares were down 1.9% in early Wednesday trading.
