Stores Pull Blue Bell Ice Cream After Multiple Deaths

Blue Bell Ice Cream products are being pulled off the shelves of several stores following multiple deaths.

Ice cream contaminated with listeriosis led to at least three deaths in Kansas. Walmart (WMT), Kroger (KR), Sam’s Club and H-E-B are among the stores that will no longer carry the frozen treats.

The contamination was linked to products manufactured at Blue Bell’s Brenham, Texas and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma production plants. The Broken Arrow plant stopped all production.

Listeriosis is a bacteria causes fever, muscle aches and other symptoms that can lead to death.

KR stock is up 0.05% Monday. WMT stock is up 0.47%.
