According to Business Insider, the Starbucks executive told Daniel Lui and his friend while they were at a Seattle location that he could take everything they have back to China, but that he could never get the kind of training the company offers here.
“I think that I was really shocked and taken aback,” Lui told CBS San Francisco. “We didn’t know what to think. We were dumbfounded.”
Following the incident, Lui left a negative review for the location on Yelp (NYSE:YELP). The executive that accused him of spying on the company and attempting to steal its secrets called the man and apologized for what he said. Lui was also given $50 on his rewards card, reports Business Insider.
