Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) batteries are now powering several Walmart (NYSE:WMT) stores.

11 Walmarts in the US are being powered by Tesla batteries as part of a trial. Additionally, 300 homes are being powered by the same batteries in California.

The move was confirmed by the company’s investor relations head Jeffrey Evanson who said the “Tesla home battery and a very large utility scale battery” are being tested.

The batteries are also being tested by school and wineries. Cargill may also be trying out the new form of alternative energy as well.

Tesla’s energy storage business could be worth as $70 to TSLA stock. This amounts to about 32% of the stock’s price.

TSLA stock is up 4.76% Wednesday. WMT stock is up 0.51%.
