Here are your Apple Rumors for today:
Camera: Files discovered inside Apple’s (AAPL) iOS 9 suggest that the front-facing camera is getting an upgrade, reports MacRumors. The files listed in iOS 9 read like this: “[CAMCaptureCapabilities isFront1080p120Supported]”. This file suggests that the front-facing camera may support up to 1080p. This would be an improvement over the current camera, which has a resolution of 720p. It’s also possible that the rear-facing camera on the iOS 9 device will also get upgrades.
Campus: Apple has fired the contractor companies working on the Campus 2, AppleInsider notes. Skanska and DPR were fired due to a series of delays and rising costs that were hampering construction of Campus 2. The two contractors will be moved off the site over the next few weeks. It’s possible that Holder Construction will be the new contractor to takeover work on Campus 2. The project is already a year behind and $2 billion over budget. It may also be delayed another year.
Ads: Apple will start allowing developers to create ad blockers for Safari in iOS 9, reports 9to5Mac. The new ad blockers being included in iOS 9 are called “content blockers”. These extensions will allow apps developers to stop certain images and code from showing up. There are already ad blockers for Mac and these new ad blockers could allow Apple to please its mobile users while hurting Google’s (GOOG,GOOGL) ad revenue.
