More information surrounding Apple’s iOS 11 Golden Master was leaked over the weekend.

It was revealed on Saturday that the new operating system from the tech giant will be the system behind the next big iPhone, animated emojis and more. Now, we also know that it will use Face ID.

Instead of using digital fingerprints to access your smart device, the company will now use Face ID, which will let you unlock your phone by looking at it. Additionally, you can use your face to confirm purchases as well.

Credit card data saved into your device is one popular way to buy something online without a lot of effort, but now Face ID will let you buy purchases in iTunes, the App Store and as an autofill option for Safari.

Apple Pay will also be supported by Face ID. The company will reveal everything about iOS 11 Golden Master on Tuesday.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)

Rumors of a Microsoft modular smartwatch being in the works could send MSFT shares higher Monday.

A patent unveiled last month by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggests that the tech giant could be ramping up efforts to launch a modular smartwatch in order to keep up with competition.

Patently Mobile revealed the filing, which includes all the usual functions of a smartwatch, as well as the added ability to insert modules to the gadget in order to allow developers to add more functionalities to the device.

The images that arrived with the leak reveal an interface that Windows users may be familiar with as it is consistent with other Microsoft smart devices. It is held together by a band formed of a number of modular segments.

Some believe the smartwatch could also have the capabilities of a smartphone with cellular connectivity. A wristband comes with the device, as well as the possibility of it being used like a necklace.

MSFT stock is up 19.1% YTD.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)

Tesla has been aiding victims of Hurricane Irma this past weekend.

Miami and other areas in Florida have been hit hard by the storm, only weeks after Harvey ravaged areas in Houston and Texas. The electric car maker announced Sunday that it is offering a battery boost to those seeking to leave Florida.

Tesla said that it has temporarily increased the battery power of its Model S and the rest of its fleet of luxury electric cars in the Southeast so drivers can travel as far away as possible.

Batteries usually have a capacity of 60 to 70 kWh, and will now have 75 kWh of power until next Saturday. Tesla added that it raised the battery power after one of its customers asked the company to make the adjustment to his vehicle.

TSLA stock is up 60.7% YTD.

As of this writing, Karl Utermohlen did not hold a position in any of the aforementioned.
