I traveled last week to one of my very favorite cities – Toronto – to attend the O’Cannabiz Conference, which featured CEOs from the top cannabis companies in Canada. There is going to be a lot of money made as both medical and recreational use of marijuana becomes more widespread, and I’m knee deep in my research, part of which is face-to-face conversations with people in the front lines of what’s unfolding. I sat down with several influential players in the industry to get more insight on where it is heading and the ongoing legalization process in Canada.
We will be talking a lot more about this in the coming weeks and months, as I’ve uncovered a few really great ways to profit from this unstoppable trend.
While I was in Canada, I also got asked to come by the BNN Bloomberg studios for an appearance on The Close with Catherine Murray. We had a great conversation and covered a lot of ground in 10 minutes from my views on the market (still incredibly bullish) and the Federal Reserve (I’m hopeful they won’t mess things up) to the outperformance of smaller companies.

Everyone asks about some of my favorite stocks right now, so we talked about those as well. I mentioned a few that I like a lot, including one that is in prime position to benefit from the Supreme Court’s decision that opens the door for states to allow sports gambling. I also mentioned a company I think of as the Netflix of China – one-tenth the size but a whole lot of potential customers – and my favorite next-generation health company (of which I am a customer).
