Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime members living in Manhattan can now have select items from the online retailer delivered to them in one hour.
The ability to have items delivered in Manhattan in an hour is an expansion of the service the company launched in the area in December. When it was first launched, the one-hour Amazon deliveries were limited to locations in the 10001 area code. However, this expansion now includes all 41 area codes in Manhattan, reports The Next Web.
Amazon Prime customers living in Manhattan that want items shipped to them in an hour are limited in what they can buy. The one-hour delivery feature is currently only available for basic items, such as paper towels. Customer in Manhattan with time to spare can also choose two-hour shipping, The Next Web notes.
A fee of $7.99 comes with one-hour delivery from Amazon in Manhattan. The service runs every day of the week and is available from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., reports Slate Magazine.
