The deal between Facebook and Nokia for the use of Here maps has the social media company using them on the mobile version of its website. It’s also being used in its Messenger and Instagram apps for Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Android. The deal was made despite Nokia looking to sell Here for the last month, reports The Verge.

It appears that Facebook is currently using Nokia’s Here mapping service to help users when tagging what location they’re at in posts, as well as just plain using the maps. With Nokia looking to sell Here, its possible that the social media company may be interested in buying it, The Verge notes.

If Facebook does look into purchasing Here maps from Nokia, it could spend anywhere from $2 billion to $4 billion on the acquisition. According to a Facebook spokesperson, Here is currently only being tested on the social media service, reports TechCrunch.
