New Bermuda Triangle Theory May Solve Mystery

The Bermuda Triangle disappearances may be caused partially by the hexagonal clouds that form over the freak of nature.

These clouds are not necessarily the sole reason why this part of the world is so dangerous, but the lack of visibility created by these aerial formations could be part of the reason why planes crash down and ships flip over in the Bermuda Triangle.

The effect created by the hexagonal clouds includes air bombs carrying winds that roar at 170mph. The Bermuda Triangle is 500,000kms in area located in the North Atlantic Ocean, destroying or disappearing at least 75 planes and hundreds of ships.

The clouds form when cold, dry air mixes over warm water. The patterns form late in the fall and early in the spring, and the clouds can create updrafts and downdrafts simultaneously, creating death traps for those traveling in the area.

“It is a common phenomenon occurring globally — most generally found at mid- to high latitude locations over the oceans, and usually during the cold season,” a scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere of Colorado State University said.

The clouds are formed in patterns called microbursts that are essentially blasts of air emanating off the top and bottom of a cloud, hitting the ocean and creating waves that are so large that they can start interacting with each other.

Other theories as to why the Bermuda Triangle include gas bubbles in the atmosphere.
