Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), announced on Thursday, that it’s launching its Periscope app.

Twitter’s launch of the Periscope app comes after it bought the company in January. The app allows users to share live video.

Here are a few things to know about the Twitter Periscope app.

• The app is currently available for Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS devices.
• Twitter is working on a version of the app that will work with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Android devices.
• Clicking a button on the app will alert Followers that a user is streaming live video.
• Followers can send messages to users that are live streaming via the app.
• Periscope allows users to click on their screen to send hearts to the person live streaming.
