A possible Amazon (AMZN) password leak has some users having their passwords reset.
Several users have reported that they had their passwords reset after a possible Amazon password leak. Th password reset information was sent out via emails that have been confirmed as authentic, reports ZDNet.
The email about the Amazon password leak claims that there’s no reason to believe that passwords have fallen into the hands of hackers. However, the company said it forced temporary passwords on some of its users just in case, ZDNet notes.
Data breaches have been occurring frequently in 2015. Companies that have been affected this year include the following:
- Hilton (HLT)
- TalkTalk
- T-Mobile (TMUS)
- AT&T (T)
- Sally Beauty (SBH)
- Ashley Madison
