New Instagram Logo: Why the Photo-Sharing App Is Changing Its Iconic Look

A new Instagram logo has been revealed for the company owned by Facebook Inc (FB)

The photo-sharing platform updated its logo to look more like a simpler camera that is used today rather than the older one present in its previous logo. It also said that the new Instagram logo reflects changes it’s made to the service to make it simpler to navigate.

The new Instagram logo still keeps the rainbow that was present in its last logo, but now it’s a gradient that covers the entire image. It has also updated its Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse apps to have a similar feel to its new logo.

Instagram users can see the new logo on the company’s website, or when downloading the app for Apple Inc.’s (AAPL) iOS, Alphabet Inc’s

(GOOG,GOOGL) Android or Microsoft Corporation’s (MSFT) Windows Phone.
